Cian O’Connor wins Master d'Inzeo Leading Rider Award
Ireland's Cian O'Connor is the winner of the 2025 Master d'Inzeo Award. This prize is awarded to the rider with the highest overall score, and takes into account the results obtained in the two most eagerly awaited individual competitions of the Rome CSIO – the Trofeo Loro Piana and the Rolex Gran Premio Roma. It is offered by the families of the two great champions to celebrate their memory.
The name of the CSIO was changed in 2014 with the addition of “Master d'Inzeo” in tribute to the invincible brothers for their unforgettable achievements in the history of Italian equestrianism at Piazza di Siena.
Today, the roll of honour of this award features a rider from the Emerald Isle for the second time, following Denis Lynch's victory in 2022. Cian O'Connor was presented with the award by Giancarlo d'Inzeo, Piero’s son, accompanied by his sister Cristina, Guido, Raimondo’s son, and his grandchildren Alex d'Inzeo and Beatrice Guarducci.
