MOSTRA DELL'ACQUA FELIX

Restoration works began on the Mostra dell’Acqua Felix, one of the park’s most significant architectural features and an important testimony to the historic water system that once supplied Villa Borghese’s lake. The intervention followed strict conservation principles aimed at restoring the monument’s historical and artistic value.

This high-profile restoration project sought not only to preserve the structure itself, but also to recover its ability to tell the story of the city while maintaining the balance between material, form and meaning.

Thanks to the intervention, the sculptures, lion figure, precious marble elements of the fountains and bas-reliefs were returned to their former splendour.
