A comprehensive redevelopment project was carried out on the hemicycle of Piazzale delle Canestre, with the aim of restoring visual continuity, dignity and clarity to an area that had suffered over time from deterioration, surface alterations and a gradual loss of aesthetic quality.

The works included the cleaning and restoration of the masonry surfaces, with particular attention given to the removal of graffiti, deposits and incompatible patinas that had accumulated over the years. All interventions were performed using non-invasive techniques and compatible materials, in full respect of the structures’ original features and historical stratification.

At the same time, targeted consolidation and repair works were undertaken to ensure the long-term stability and durability of the masonry.
