On Wednesday, 27 May at 6.30pm, Intesa Sanpaolo will bring the grand concert 'Armonie di Pace' by Opera Italiana is in the Air to Rome to celebrate the opening of Piazza di Siena.

This free event will give everyone the chance to experience the magic of opera, which has recently been declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Site.

Promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo, the musical event is included in the official programme of CSIO – Piazza di Siena 100, celebrating the centenary of the prestigious competition. It will mark the beginning of the long-awaited centenary edition of CSIO in Rome's Villa Borghese, scheduled for 27–31 May.

The concert programme, Armonie di Pace, brings together works by the great composers who are considered the fathers of Italian opera. Thanks to these composers, our country is known and loved throughout the world. Verdi, Rossini, Puccini and others celebrate human dignity, the value of peace and the ability of art to illuminate even the most complex moments of contemporary history through arias, duets and symphonies. These great opera and symphony works become a universal voice of dialogue, hope, and brotherhood.

Armonie di Pace aims to be more than just a musical event; it aims to convey a shared message: that culture and music can build bridges, evoke authentic emotions and remind us of what unites us as human beings.

Maestro Alvise Casellati will conduct the Orchestra della Toscana.

The event is organised by 'Opera Italiana is in the Air', an organisation founded in 2017 to promote opera culture. Maestro Casellati is the President and Music Director of this organisation. The guests of honour are: Piero Pretti (tenor), Hasmik Torosyan (soprano) and George Andguladze (bass). Eleonora Daniele will host the evening.

The concert will be streamed on the website of the Federazione Italiana Sport Equestri (www.fise.it).
