Born in 1980, at 10 years old he made up his mind and went out to ride his mother’s horse Apollon, whom he had been admiring ever since he was able to walk. Passion was such that as soon as he could – 16 years old – he started to spend all day at the stables, studying at night through a correspondence school. It was his grandfather, owner of a company producing windows, that bought him his first horses, including Kraque Boom – the horse who changed his life. 

Before entering a competition, Kevin preps up by listening to some good musing and before the start, he actually goes through a sort of habit that plays as a lucky charm to him: he pats his horse five times on each part of the neck. 
His fans almost lost him once, when things did not go as planned during a national championship he had entered: he shut himself inside his van and decided he was never going to ride again – he would instead become a Formula 1 pilot. Luckily enough he later found out how complicated that path would actually have been and finally decided for good: he would stick to horses!
