At the end of March 2018, Alberto enters for the first time in his life in the top ten of the world ranking list for show jumping. This is also the first time Italy can praise two riders placing that high - Alberto and Lorenzo de Luca: a milestone in Italian equestrian history. It is pure talent what grounds Alberto’s successes, and it was his older brother Giampietro – a showjumping instructor, the person who gave him a little push at the very beginning, when nine years old Alberto was actually very scared to ride, even ponies. His rise to the top received another push later on in life, when Alberto was offered a job in Belgium at Jan Tops’ (Olympic rider, owner of one of the best known horse trading businesses in Europe and founder of the Global Champions Tour).
