Born in Australia in 1974 and married to one of the most important men in the international equestrian world, Jan Tops, rider, trainer, owner, dealer as well as the founder of the Global Champions Tour – Edwina is one of the best female riders in the world. Everything started when at the age of eight she decided to ride Bo Jangles, a pony that belonged to her neighbours and kept running away to her garden, almost as if he wanted this little girl to ride him. As a young girl Edwina studied at the Sydney College of Physical Education and for a while worked as an aerobics instructor and a personal trainer. In order to pay for her ticket to Europe and the cost of taking her horse with her, Edwina had to sell her car, which she would luckily no longer need as she stayed a lot longer than the six months she had originally planned. 

Her nickname is Weenie – short for the word ‘winner’ – and she has a daughter called Chloe who was born in  2017 . Edwina has a great passion for fashion, so much so that she has often appeared in the pages of fashion magazines such as Vogue Australia and Marie Claire.
