Louise comes from a family that has always been involved with horses and her father Mike was a successful show jumper. Louise was a small child when she started to ride Lottie, the Shetland pony she shared with her brother. She already knew very clearly that she would have become a rider and that no other career was ever even plausible. A successful junior career did nothing but fuel her great passion for horses, taking her right to the top. She made her Nations Cup debut in 2013 at a five star show riding Hello Winner IV. 

There are a few simple elements behind her many wins; ensuring the horses always have time to reflect after every round, be it at a show or in training, before jumping again; great concentration during preparatory work, attention to every detail and all that goes on behind the scenes as well as … a good supply of chocolate, which Louise seems unable to do without! 

After falling because of a loose girth, she makes sure her horses are perfectly tacked up before mounting.
