Born in 1981, for French rider Simon Delestre speed seems to be his greatest asset. Famous for being one of the fastest and most daring riders on the tour, Delestre won his first French Championship when he was seven and by the time he was twelve he already had an amazing pony (Panama du Cassou). He obviously has speed in his DNA; he adores being fast on a horse but also on skis and when driving... (at least when he has a driving licence!), while when describing himself he says he is a conqueror, a natural winner and a person who always gives everything he has! He prefers not to follow any specific method with his horses as he is convinced that each one is unique. There is one thing he is certain of, the fact that it takes at least two or three years to create a pair and so he starts to train all his horses when they are young on order to have them ready when they are about ten and have a few good seasons ahead. In his life there are two Magalis who matter, his mother and his wife. Together with their daughter Louna, his wife is always by his side and takes care of all the administration, communications and public relations. She takes care of relations with the media, the sponsors and manages the website and social networks. Delestre in particular proud of his van which is beautifully equipped; “We designed the living area ourselves making sure we would have everything we needed...!”.
