Von Eckermann became passionate about horses when he was very small, thanks to his mother who already loved riding. But the desire to be serious about the sport and to scale all the way to the top arouse after he witnessed o Swedish national championship: to the eye of little Henrik, that seemed to be the most fabulous show ever. 

Thanks to a friend of his family, he receives the opportunity to work and ride for legendary show jumping champion Ludger Beerbaum in Germany. It is during this long period, spanning from 2004 to 2016, that he collects an impressive number of prestigious placements and that he becomes a pillar of the Swedish team at many Nations Cup events. 

In 2016 Von Eckermann left Beerbaum to open his own sport stables in Bonn, Germany.

Besides riding, Henrik likes hockey and tennis.
