Biography
Luca Moneta started to ride so as to help his older brother who competed in endurance competitions. Filled with a great passion for horses, Luca has always been attracted by the ethological and psychological aspects linked to horsemanship and has created a method known as Luca Moneta Horsemanship, based the psychological well-being of horses. In addition to having competed at an international level for many seasons, known all over the world for his very particular style and methods, Moneta is also the go-to-person for very difficult horses.
Nicknamed ‘The Carrot Man’ because of his habit to always reward his horses with carrots, winning an Olympic medal with one of his own often ‘difficult’ horses remains Luca Moneta’s dream. This would mean the consecration of his method, which, for the first time, merges natural methodologies with the needs of a horse’s competitive careers. Famous for his ability to work with the most complex horses, Luca Moneta has explored the entire equestrian world in search of new ideas and solutions. This means he can nowadays call on great maestros and friends such as the former rider and globally famous trainer George Morris (USA) as well as the wonderful horseman Michel Robert, who has also won at the most prestigious equestrian events during his very lengthy career as a member of the French show jumping team while respecting the true nature of horses.
