Many successful riders started to ride as children because horses were already a family passion, but this was not the case for Luigi. On the contrary, everything moved in the opposite direction. Since he loved animals and horses with a passion, it was he who infected the family with his same passion, so much so that his mother has even opened a yard thanks to her son’s enthusiasm. Luigi started to ride ‘seriously’ when he was nine and immediately showed great talent. 

His most important wins were achieved riding Panama Tame. This already experienced horse previously ridden by Spain’s Pilar Lucrecia Cordòn, had been sold to a young American amateur rider who rode him on the family property that also included a rather crowded golf course. One day the stallion was hit by a ball and obviously took fright, shying away in a manner that the rider’s father considered too dangerous. He sent the horse straight back to Europe and more specifically to Italy. Soon after that Luigi received a call inviting him to go and try the horse. It was love at first sight.

Luigi is at university in Pordenone studying Business Economics and lives in Sacile, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
