A Young Riders Academy in Rome

Roman 'red carpet' for one of the most successful actions in the international show jumping scene in recent years. As many as seven representatives of A Young Riders Academy, signed Rolex, will enter the arena in the Nations Cup at the Csio Roma Piazza di Siena - Master d'Inzeo. While the total attendance for the young talents of the 'school' amounts to eight pairs

Among those taking part in the team competition representing their respective nations are, for Italy, Francesca Ciriesi and Giampiero Garofalo. Ciriesi went through the training programme in 2017 with Henk Nooren tutoring, Garofalo in 2016 with Marco Kutscher.

The German squad includes Richard Vogel, who was included in the education programme in 2020.

Ireland brings as many as three riders from A Young Riders Academy to the Nations Cup: Michael G Duffy (2017 - trainer Franke Sloothaak), Michael Pender (2019 - trainer Jos Lansink) and Jack Ryan, (2020 - trainer Jos Lansink).

Jodie Hall McAteer, who took the No. 3 Eni Prize on the opening day of the Roman Csio and will be part of the Gbr team, participated in the A Young Riders Academy programme in 2020, with Ben Schroeder as trainer.

Gaj Riossa (Slo), who was a 'pupil' of the Academy in 2022 under the supervision of Emile Endrix, will take the field as an individual.

This program entails the organization of an equestrian program designed for young talents.

The platform provides a select group of talented riders, aged between 18 and 23, with a unique opportunity to embark on several months of customized training and boarding at a leading professional stable.

In addition, a comprehensive educational curriculum covering essential topics, such as Veterinary Studies, Business & Economics, Communication, Legal & Doping aspects.

These educational subjects are taught in collaboration with institutions like Franklyn University of Switzerland and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala.

Each European Federation is invited to nominate up to three candidates for the program.

To be eligible, riders are required to showcase riding skills based on excellent achievements in 140- 150 classes.

Additionally, they must submit a comprehensive personal profile detailing their education, interests, and ambitions for evaluation.

Candidates are invited to a selection show where their performance will be assessed by the professional panel (Jean-Maurice Bonneau, Thierry Pomel, Otto Becker, Emile Hendrix and Sven Holmberg).
