Italy strikes immediately with Filippo Bologni

Filippo Marco Bologni and Quidich de la Chavee have a special feeling with the competition opening the Rome Csio at Piazza di Siena. They won it in 2018, and they did it again today on the occasion of the 88th edition, conquering the DeNiroBootCo Prize no. 1 - (against the clock, h 1.45, € 5,000).

The 27-year-old Carabiniere from Emilia and his French chestnut completed their course without faults in 64.00, leaving the French rider Jerome Guery on Great Britain V (0; 65.65) over 1 second and half behind.

The other Italian rider Antonio Maria Garofalo, at his debut in the Roman CSIO, reached them on the podium on the Italian horse Presley degli Assi (0; 66.93).

The 27-year-old Carabiniere from Emilia Romagna was overjoyed: "I'm really happy to have started off on the right foot in a Piazza di Siena that, as always, puts us in the spotlight, especially now because this is the first post-pandemic edition. Quidich de la Chavee jumped really well and I am very satisfied. Now we keep our fingers crossed for all the Italian riders to have their say in the next competitions of the show-jumping programme".
